from Jim Fulton
I first met Molly during the preparations for her brother, Bill's, wedding in Baltimore. A crazy time with many new family members assembling for the event, and my main focus on the wedding cake Barbara requested.
My first real conversations with her were in Blue Hill, ME, with my first family visitto Tamworth Farm. She was busy, cooking, knitting, reading, gardening. . . . I recall the wonderful sorrel soup she produced from the plants in the front yard. While talking with Molly one afternoon, I started to pay attention to the huge mittens she was knitting. . . .I asked if they were for Sasquatch? She laughed and said, "They're for Wolky, my boyfriend."
Wolky & Molly's wedding was one of the best Tamworth events, with family and friends converging from coast to coast. . . . the festivities were epic. Then came the children and the annual cookie decoration at Fred's and the building of the Gingerbread houses. I will treasure many memories of brilliant conversations about folk art, cooking, mystery books, and Molly's ability to light up a room with her presence.
A bright and shiny star has gone dark, but the light of Molly's spirit will brighten our memories forever.
